The pre-launch checklist
The worst time to discover a broken checkout is when paid traffic is hitting it. A single pre-launch pass across store, payments, tracking, and capture catches the silent failures. AI can generate the checklist for your exact setup; you run each item and confirm it passes, because only a real test order and a real device check prove it works.

You are a launch-readiness QA lead for a DTC store.
Store: [Shopify/other] Selling in: [country] Traffic plan: [ads / organic / email list]
Generate a pre-launch checklist grouped into: STORE (pages, mobile, speed), PAYMENTS (test order, wallets, taxes), TRACKING (pixel/GA4/CAPI, key events fire), CAPTURE (email popup live, welcome flow connected), CONTENT (policies, product info complete).
For each item: the exact check and how to verify it PASSES (what to click, what to look for).
Mark the 5 that would lose money on day one if broken.
Do not assume my tax/legal setup; flag those to confirm.
Output: grouped checklist with pass criteria + the 5 critical items.
Or do it in 5 steps
- Place a real test order on desktop AND mobile, all the way through payment and the confirmation email. This single check catches the most expensive failure, a checkout that doesn't complete.
- Verify tracking fires. Confirm your pixel/GA4 and key events (view, add-to-cart, purchase) actually register (Events Manager test events / GA4 DebugView). Launching ads with broken tracking wastes the whole budget's learning.
- Check mobile and speed. Most traffic is mobile, load the site on a phone, tap through, and confirm it's fast and nothing overflows. Fix the worst offender.
- Confirm capture is live. Email popup working and wired to a welcome flow (see capture-email-first). Traffic you don't capture on launch day is gone.
- Complete content and policies. Every product has price, images, and description; shipping/returns/FAQ pages are real, not placeholder. Gaps here kill trust exactly when scrutiny is highest.
Worked example (labeled): the 5 money-critical checks: (1) test order completes, (2) purchase event fires, (3) mobile checkout works, (4) email capture live, (5) shipping cost shown before checkout. If any of these fails on launch day, you lose sales or ad spend directly, verify all five before you drive a single visitor.
Re-run the critical five before any big traffic push, not just the first launch.
